TUV SUD – Official Approval AG24
Approval Documentation No SD 031/18A issued by TUV SUD Czech (Technical Service of the Czech Ministry of Transport). Compliant with ECE Regulation No. 26 (External Projections), for vehicles in categories M1 (passenger cars) and N1 (light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 t). Driving validation on the Skoda test track at up to 200 km/h, maximum braking, avoidance manoeuvres, cobblestones, water. 23 January 2019.

Test report 1029427#2 by MIRA (Motor Industry Research Association, UK). On a Honda Civic Type R loaded to its GVW, 25 m circle at 50 km/h with pressure decreasing from 1.4 to 0.8 bar. Result: the AlloyGator remains in place down to 0.8 bar, without degrading the tyre or altering its retention properties on the rim. Test compliant with ECE R124. April 2011.

Test report 1203696 iss 2 by MIRA. On an Audi TT Mark 1, 5 cycles of "Simulated Autobahn" on the MIRA high-speed test track, ~148 km per cycle, speeds of up to 200 km/h on the straight and 170 km/h on 33° banked bends. Result: no tyre pressure loss on all 4 tyres, AlloyGator remains firmly secured to the rim. February 2014.

High-speed validation
AlloyGator remains firmly secured to the rim under Autobahn conditions: ~200 km/h on the straight, ~170 km/h on 33° banked bends, ~148 km per cycle, repeated 5 times on the MIRA high-speed track. No tyre pressure loss observed on any of the fitted tyres.

25 m circle test at 50 km/h with pressure progressively decreasing from 1.4 to 0.8 bar. AlloyGator stays in place and the tyre does not deteriorate, even within this emergency zone. AlloyGator does not degrade the tyre/rim retention properties.

AlloyGator recommends its product for vehicles up to 2,500 kg laden, including passengers and luggage. Beyond this weight, the pressure exerted on the wheel may cause the rim protector to migrate: AlloyGator advises against use of the product in such cases and accepts no liability.
This commercial recommendation is more stringent than the TUV type approval (which covers cars and light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 t), in order to ensure the rim protector remains secure under real-world conditions. Compliant with ECE Regulation No. 26 on external projections: no protrusion after fitting.
